Giraffe Centre

Started with the primary aim of nurturing and breeding the endangered Rothchilds Giraffe, the Giraffe Center is a non-profit organization that aims provide conservation education to all that visit the centre. Here you get to actually feed the Giraffes from the palm of your hand! It is located in the Karen suburbs of Nairobi about 20 minutes drive form the city.

Nairobi Railway Museum

The Nairobi Railway Museum is situated at the north-west end of Nairobi station and is a walking distance from the city center. The museum was established in 1971 by the then East African Railways and Harbours Corporation to preserve and display relics and records of the railways of East Africa from their inception to the present day. In addition to the collection of steam locomotives and rolling stock, there is a large display of smaller exhibits and models.

They also collect a good amount of antiques and replicas where antiques are not available besides having a lovely garden where you can have a quick meal.
